You buy just about anything on the internet now, so why not houses? Of course, buying a house is a much bigger investment than buying a CD from Amazon, but the internet is being used more and more for property.

You will still need to see the house in ‘real life’ obviously, but it is hard to disprove the advantages that the internet can provide when searching for a house. Instead of trekking around estate agents looking for possible properties, you can find a list of all suitable properties with a few mouse clicks. You can then contact the owners or estate agents in order to arrange a viewing time. This may be a great way to work, especially if you are moving a long way away.

It is thought the next 2 years will bring big changes in the way estate agents work with the internet. Estate Agents will need to embrace the technology and use it to their advantage, or they will just be left behind. As more and more people use the internet for more and more purposes, the process of estate agency will no doubt move towards an online arena.
